So yea i have nothing to BLOG about so im just going to do a very random blog post that crossed my mind.
Since i have trainings right now almost everyday with JATB because of
Singapore Best Dance Crew and Singapore Dance Delight Vol1 .
i shall blog about a typical day of a Joyce and the Boys training.

Firstly, we have added 3 more members! so we have 8 nao!
1 from seven crew and 2 from If youre happy and you know it.
Xiangtian , Ronnie and Glen.
Although we are still called Joyce and the boys.
We sort of kicked out Joyce from the team.
just kidding.
so 6 of us (Joyce, sk, sophan, ron, Chin and me) are joining SBDC 2010
and 8 of us(6 + Xiangtian and Glen) are joining SDD.
and we are all pretty excited kids about the 2 upcoming competitions.
its going to be CRAZY!!!!!!

Ok a typical day of our training begins with…
SURPRISE!!!
3 or more members being late for practice. LOL
ok not that late but still late.
im not usually late LOL but…
I remembered once i woke up late because i played left4dead the previous night. and i was late for an hour.
and they sort of ban me from the game and scolded me.
but being the leader, i took advantage of the situation and i shouted at the top of my voice..
“THIS!!!!! IS!!!!!! SPARTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
there was a moment of awkward silence.
but obviously it did not work and they still banned me from the game and scolded the shit out of me.
but i still play it secretly sometimes.
OPPS UH OH HOTDOG!

So yea it starts off with a few of us being a little late.
and then we all Warm up by ourselves.
which by there are members such as Sengkiat who open his legs, bend down. stretch just a few times, do about 5 crunches and say “OK STRETCHED ALREADY”
LOL sengkiat, we know you bloody always never stretch properly.
by the way, Sengkiat is an inspiration to the group.
why?
because Hes crazy.
why?
because Hes Crazy.
why?
because sengkiat Works full time, Studies Part time, Did not dance for 2 years during his National Service and still came back as strong as before. if not stronger. Game like mad on PC and his DS, has a girlfriend, Has a slipped disc, Has a torn ACL on his knee and an injured ankle.
AND STILL HE IS ABLE TO COPE AND DANCE SO WELL.
Tell me if he isnt crazy.
Sengkiat is AN INSPIRATION to us all!

well back to the point.
Stretching is always often accompanied by groans and moans. not because we are hanky panking with each other. but obviously because we are really hanky panky-ing with one another.
just kidding not farni. its because our muscles are so bloody sore after constant days of practice.

So after stretching, we ask one another. “So today do what?”
and we either decide on learning new steps or cleaning or formation or slack.
Most of the times being so smart, we would choose slacking.
then we realize that slacking isnt a feasible option because it is good to work hard and we want to be hardworking, and so we re choose to clean steps or learn steps. or go through formations.
and head straight into what we want to achieve that day.

A typical Cleaning day of JATB would be a typical cleaning day.
We just clean steps and try to make steps clean. Although there are always repeated shoutings at one another’s bad habits. Some of the more often ones includes,

Ronnie’s Dragon Claws.
Ronnie hands are always like in a claw position. becase he has so much swagg and feeling in him. his hands sort of suffer that dragon syndrome and thus when a step is supposed to be a FIST. his isnt. he tends to open his hands like a dragon claw and we would have to shout at him.

Joyce’s accents.
Joyce has so much accent in her that sometimes when the step is supposed to chill and relax. she does accents instead to indirectly show off what good body control she has. and thus, we have to scold her too.

Chin’s ribs.
Our teammate chin is so bloody thin and tall and has such long limbs that sometimes we shout at him for no reason
“WTF CHIN! WHY YOUR LIMBS SO LONG”
LOL. like there one step in his choreography that only he can do because of his long hands. the rest of us cant even reach where we were supposed to reach.
and Chin has a hard disk brain. he can totally freaking download stuffs into his brain and stores them there.
he can look at you dance a routine for 2 times. and i think he can download 85% of the bloody routine into his head.
his brain is that sick.
What do you expect from a 4.0 GPA results in studies LOL.

Sophan’s Inability to sing and count.
Sophan’s counting is so bad. enough said.
LOL!! the lyrics was supposed to be “After all this time”
he sang.. “All the all this time”
We do always make fun of him too.
just because he is Half malay, half chinese . LOL.
but well, its really all for fun. we dont really want to start a racial riot here.
sophan’s sort of the discipline master in our group. He does most of the stern shits. like i dont know what kind of stern shits. but you get the point. He’s the fierce one in the group that makes sure we do our job right. If not he would shout his favourite word.
“BUTOH!!!!” which means Fuck in Malay.

I think those above are the more prominent stuffs that always happen during cleaning or learning of steps ++
The rest are all usual stuffs and such .

A JATB training is ALWAYS accompanied by LOTS of laughter.
we are serious people when we train.
ok not really.
We laugh alot during training because there are so many cocksters in the group. which is good hahaha. trainings are always fun.
and Surprisingly, practices are efficient too! and we are all thankful for that.

So yea, after practicing and fulling out and being so freaking tired,
It ends with a cool down session that one of us randomly leads and we all cool down together, which is a very good feeling

And then we debrief, talk some stuffs about the day, about the next day, about irrelevant stuffs and relevant stuffs and then we put our hands on each other hands and sengkiat would say
“How many bullet?” *while our hands all raising up*
and we would all shout
“8 BULLETS!!!!!!” *slams our hands down together*
and then we all do a Gay street fighter jump in the air while shouting at the top of our voices
“HUAT!!!!!!!!!”
and that is our retarded and pointless group cheer that we have.
Retarded and pointless it may sound, its still a simple thing that bonds us together

That is why i love a typical JATB Training.
because we go through all sorts of things be it happy, funny, painful, sad, tired, frustrating, stress, and etc etc etc together and most importantly, grow together.
and when the day of the competition comes, we just do what we all love to do together,
showing people how much we love dance.

i dont really feel the new year mood this year for some reason,
did not really eat new year goodies too. dont really feel like eating them.

This year, V day happens to fall on the 1st day of lunar new year.
which sucked as most(90%) oh shops are closed haha.
Dammit! wanted to eat crabs with my girlfriend but apparently,
all chinese restaurants were closed.
oh well, we still had a fun fun valentine’s day!

And SBDC is in a little less than a month!

and i recently just caught 3 movies,
Percy Jackson kinda suck.
Its like Narnia, too kiddish haha. but still it isnt THAT bad.
a little on the cheesy side.

Valentine’s day on the other hand is GOOD!
its like america’s version of love actually and its good!
Julia Roberts acting was so good even though she only appeared for awhile.
and Taylor swift was super funny as the bimbo highschool girl hahaha.
the movie was sweet on the overall,
maybe because i watched it with my girlfriend, but seriously. it was a simple and sweet movie. kinda like love actually.

And True legend, which is about How the drunken fist was created wasnt that bad.
however there were alot of “fuck it” parts from the director that kept making us laugh in the movies.
LIKE!
the 4 henchmen buried the bad guy’s sister alive, which happened to be the Hero’s wife and the bad guy who was such a badass killed the 4 henchmen and thus YAY! nobody knows where the wife is buried.
(sidetrack, the reason why the bad guy wanted to bury his sister was because since they are family, means they must die together even if he died in battle. SICK bitch)
So Beggar Su (the creator of drunken fist) who happens to be the Hero. rushes in. fights the badass villian and kills him . So now the situation is. NOBODY KNOWS WHERE THE WIFE IS! OH SHIT!
but surprise!!! the director must be pondering how to let the hero know where the wife is so the hero could rescue her! and i bet he could not think of anything and he decides ..”OH WELL FUCK IT!”
and when the hero run outs and there lay the 4 dead henchman and surprise! 1 of them was actually miraclessliously ALIVE! to whisper 1 last thing before he died.. “Shuuu… Linnn….” and then he died. LOL! shu lin means forest. so in the end the hero found and rescued the wife but it was too late, the wife died.
Lol the main point was the henchmen who whispered. “fo..rest…” LOL he was supposed to be DEAD!!!!! Dammit.

And another “director’s fuck it” part was when the villian defeated the hero at the start. he threw his body into the raging waters. which had a huge ass waterfall and. his WIFE decides to jump in as well! (resulting in the villian’s shouts of agony and killing more of his henchmen) So yea the the both of them feel into the waters and dropped down the waterfall. WHICH WAS HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i mean HUGE.
and the next scene was… the wife woke up on a log and there there, THE HERO WAS BESIDE HER!
how the heck can 2 person fall down a very very huge crazy waterfall and end up on the same log!! dammit LOL.

the movie was quite funny as well(which im sure it wasnt supposed to be funny). the villian practiced 5 venom fist till he sort of turned evil as it was a dark art. and his voice turned funny. Lol he kept zao xia (going out of tune) . and it was quite funny hahaha. and other random parts. so yea i kinda like the fact that now i knew how drunken fist was created. but overall the movie was not too bad. but some parts were seriously too random Lol.

So yea, the new year holidays are over and im back at work.
but its ok. 5 more months and ill be done!! i can see the light at the end of the tunnel, its coming close!

Back to Lots of Joyce and the boys prac, dance classes, competitions, going out with my lovely girl, going out with my lovely friends and the continuous lack of rest and sleep!

El Nino is spanish. It is the spanish word for child. Like all things spanish, it is dangerous. It kills people and burns down trees. This child is more than a child. It really isn’t a child at all. It is a storm. A deadly storm that kills people and burn down trees.

Warm water usually builds up around Australia. But not anymore with el nino. El Nino moves the warm water from australia to somewhere else, namely to other places. Where are these other places? These are places that also have water, but water that is not usually not as warm as the warm water El Nino moves to these said other places. These other places are to the east. Of the water.

In Peru, they have many names for many things. One of the things that have names for is for people who go fishing, go fishing to make a living. If we had a word for this kind of people that word would be “fisherman”. But we don’t. In Peru, they have different names for things that we do in America. They call that kind of people “pescadores”. That’s Spanish. That’s what they speak in Peru. When El Nino comes, these “pescadores” cant catch any fish. El Nino is caused when the peruvian gods get angry. They have been angry for millions of years and have made El Nino for millions of years. Many Many months ago, the peruvians commited human sacrifice to satiate their gods and end the flood that was caused by El Nino. In today’s modern dog-eat-dog work-a-day world of scientists, diplomats, McSalad Shakers and George Bush Jr. We no longer have access to such solutions. We are too proud. We will not commit human sacrifices. We refuse to satiate the peruvian gods. Thus, they remain angry and keep killing us and burning down our trees with El Nino.

Instead of satiating the gods, many of these “scientists” have tried to control El Nino with “science”. They put up expensive fish-attracting-bueys that run on flashlight batteries. Imagine, fighting the power of the gods with flashlight batteries. Needless to say, this didn’t work and everyone died.

trainings for Joyce and the Boys started, its back to EVEN more tiring weeks of dancing, work, play, fun, and everything else.
My year is going to be extremely extremely busy this year!

Joyce and the Boys are joining SBDC and SDD!!! Lets all chiong together!! and improve all together!!!
