Joyce and the Boys was first formed in 2009 with only just 4 members,
Joyce, Sengkiat, Chin and Terence.
They wanted to join a random dance competition just for fun and they formed a REALLY random group with an even more random group name.
and seriously, it was really random because although they knew each other as friends, they were not exactly close friends before JATB started, they just formed the really random group anyway and joined the random dance competition,
a few weeks after that was Singapore Best Dance Crew 2009 .and sadly the minimum number of contestants was 5! and they decided to add another member to JATB, Sophan Ng!
They practiced REAL HARD and its was really a blessing when they came in top as Singapore Best Dance Crew 2009 which allowed them to head to Las Vegas for World Hiphop Championships 2009.
They then went on to win 3rd in World Hiphop Championships 2009 in Las Vegas, which was totally unexpected and till now, they have NO clue nor idea on how the heck did they got blessed enough to even win 3rd in that crazy competition because they had totally zero expectation at all and all they wanted to do was just try their best for Singapore and leave an impression in the competition and learn from the experience of competing in such a large scale competition. Getting into the finals was a great blessing and bonus . and Getting 3rd was the freaking big Bonus that none of them have ever expected.
In 2010, JATB added another 3 more members, Ronnie Chen, Goh XiangTian and Glen Ng to compete in both Singapore Best Dance Crew 2010 and Singapore Dance Delight Vol 1.
They came in Second placing in SBDC 2010 and went on to clinch the Top placing in Singapore first ever Dance Delight Vol 1, winning them a chance to represent Singapore again in Osaka Japan for Japan Dance Delight Vol 17.

Joyce and the Boys are very very blessed and REALLY REALLY thankful for everything that has come their way and will continue to work even harder.
Joyce and the Boys always believe in staying humble and true to themselves and they are always reminding each other to always stay thankful and not take things for granted and also that winning is always a bonus to them as the road of progress is the most important.
Growing together as a group, as individual dancers within the group and the bond and experience is always the most important.
They will continue to work hard and always give their best to bring Singapore up to the next level together with all of Singapore Dancers.
Singapore may be a tiny country, but our love for dance is BIG and we will keep working together to bring Singapore to an entirely new level!
